Find Your Tribe

at House of Frog

At House of Frog, we believe healing is for everyone. Our philosophy is that our own stories, pain, and growth can help guide others to their own path of healing. Our words and intentions offer a sense of safety and comfort to our clients. Ultimately, the Oikos principles of wanting for others more than yourself is reflected in all our words and actions.

We take the time to care and nurture each relationship and to get to know our clients—who quickly become our friends. We invest in those relationships because we want for them the peace and serenity we have found in our own lives.

I (Robert) often find myself smiling as I reflect on where I was and where I am today, as I journey through this wonderful life. I joke at our sessions that “I should write this stuff down” and I laugh about how I thought and spoke in the past versus now—it’s like night and day.

House of Frog’s Philosophy

I have found that meditation & breathwork are the conduit—the highway that connects us to Source and nurtures our own Prana (individual life force/inner energy.)

Pranayama is the practice of controlling and expanding our energy through conscious breathwork, awakening that inner energy. This allows us to plug into conscious contact with the Creator.

My own spiritual awakening has shown me that Source, the living breathing universe itself, which I choose to call Creator, is an infinite energy source of pure love.

Our philosophy is that our purpose here is to treat everyone, including animals, with love, kindness and empathy. This includes ourselves as we cannot give away what we don't have. Without self love and healing, we offer a manufactured love which fails. When we love ourselves, that authentic love shines brightly.

Namaste. We are Robert and Cinnamon Olivarez. Welcome to House of Frog, our home-based wellness center. House of Frog began as a vision.

Every great vision has a story. Here’s ours.

House of Frog was built on a foundation of breathwork and guided meditation, a result of dealing with my (Robert’s) own trauma. Suffering abuse for years while those who were supposed to love and protect me looked the other way, combined with generational poverty and my parents’ addictions to drugs and alcohol led me to a life of pain and self-inflicted wounds. I started as a casual drinker and eventually became an alcoholic.

Thankfully, nearly fifteen years ago, the seeds were planted that have helped me not only to recover but to completely change the framework of my being.

Our Story

One day, I was in a heated situation at work when I saw a sign that read “Just Breathe...Take a Deep Breath,” and I did. In fact, I took several. After just a few minutes I felt calmer and more collected. That was my introduction to how breathwork (Pranayama) augments the mind and body, and this has become the root of my healing journey.

It would take me almost two more years before I had the courage to walk into the rooms of AA to heal that inner child and the traumas experienced, to forgive myself & others, and live fully in the moment where the freedoms I desired truly exist.

Healing and forgiving myself has been the hardest thing I have ever done. I’m grateful for my renewed well being, as it has allowed me to help my spouse, children, and countless others, find true healing.

It all started with “Taking a Breath” and continues to this day. We breathe in life and we give it back!

I have been an Educator for over 20 years. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, a Teaching Certificate (Pre-K—Adult) and a Masters Degree in Education. I’m an experienced sound bowl practitioner, and am currently working towards my accredited Sound Practitioner’s Certification. I started my healing journey thirteen years ago as my husband found recovery from alcoholism.

This journey led me to self awareness, leading me back to what I knew I should be doing—healing others. I naturally gravitated to sound healing because I have been fortunate enough to play music throughout my life and I understand the healing power of music both scientifically and holistically. This core understanding of the healing power of music helps me to facilitate sound baths that are not only relaxing but healing as well.

Our Background

Cinnamon

Robert

I’m a US Army Veteran with over 20 years experience in logistics. I hold an MBA, and am currently finishing my Masters in Education and California Teaching Credentials. I have over ten years breathwork and meditation training and experience.

My own healing journey began with my spouse, Cinnamon, and a close circle of friends. We learned and healed together, and my journey was enhanced while I simultaneously worked the steps of AA.

The resulting discipline and framework of my new way of being began to take form. When my growing understanding of Source also took shape as a result of working those steps, I began to truly heal.

I continuously wanted to share with others what had helped me and so I began to manifest ways in which I could do so.

House of Frog

The Frog is my (Robert’s) spirit animal, inherited from my dad. The name House of Frog is an ode to him. “Frog” is also an acronym, given by a friend, which means Full Reliance On God.

We have transformed our home into a wellness center with a full studio, Zen Den (Red Light and Salt Rock Therapy) Ice Bath, Barrel Sauna, and grounding area. Your wellness is what we do. Find peace. Find healing. Find your tribe, at House of Frog.
